Private Google Maps & GPS
Google my maps is a feature of Google Maps that allows users to create their personalized maps with custom markers, lines, and shapes. GPS tracking, on the other hand, relies on satellites to accurately determine location coordinates. These technologies combined enable real-time tracking and monitoring of students’ movements.
Student Commute From Home
In addition to tracking students on campus, Samanta also monitors their commute from home. To accomplish this, Samanta utilizes the tracking system developed by UXLivingLab. This system combines GPS and GSM technologies to continuously emit the location of the students during their commute. This information is then displayed on an application interface, which serves as a monitoring platform for parents and school authorities.
Tracking Students on Campus
On campus, the student location tracking process involves installing hardware modules in the students’ ID cards that utilize GPS to detect their location. These hardware modules then use GSM to update the students’ location in their respective accounts within the private Google Maps service. The system continuously tracks the location, speed, and route of the student, plotting this information on a map integrated using the Google Maps.
